DPG-DIA Workshop for Indian Defence Attache (Designate)

In collaboration with the Defence Intelligence Agency, the Delhi Policy Group organised a one day Workshop for Indian Defence Attachés (Designate) on July 9, 2019. The Opening Session of the Workshop was attended by  Lt. Gen. A.S. Bedi, UYSM, YSM, VSM, Director General, Defence Intelligence Agency and  Air Marshal Rajeev Sachdeva, AVSM, Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Policy Planning & Force Development).  Attendees included 14 Defence Attachés (Designate), who are preparing for their assignments abroad to various Indian diplomatic missions in Asia and Europe. Sessions at the Workshop covered global geopolitical trends, India’s major power relations, India and the Indo-Pacific, India's challenges of capability development and India as an attractive economic destination. The closed door workshop was organised under the Chatham House rule.
