DPG Senior Faculty’s Dialogue with the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs

The DPG Senior Faculty held an interactive dialogue with the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs (HIIA), Budapest, on February 20, 2024.
The HIIA delegation was led by Dr. Gladden Pappin, President, and included Dr. Lilla Kakuk, Adviser to the President.
The discussion provided for an in-depth exchange of perceptions on the state of world order in the midst of raging conflicts and great power competition. Dr. Pappin elaborated upon Hungary’s role and position within the European Union and developments in Europe, as well as the trajectory of narratives prevalent in the West.
The DPG Senior Faculty shared their views on India’s positioning and growing role in world affairs, as well as the rise of the Indo-Pacific in an increasingly multipolar world.
