DPG Senior Faculty Conducts Training Module for IFS Probationers at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service

As part of the ongoing training programme of the 2023 Batch of the Indian Foreign Service, the DPG Senior Faculty delivered a series of lectures at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service on March 7-8, 2024. The lectures were followed by Q&A interaction with the IFS Probationers and by objective type tests on the basic concepts of world order, multilateralism based on the UN Charter and international law, emerging multipolarity and the rise of the Indo-Pacific, the strategic drivers of India’s Act East Policy, and ASEAN’s role in regional architecture. The IFS trainees were also introduced to the concepts of net assessment and comprehensive national power, and participated in a strategic gaming exercise.
