“Indian Foreign Policy and Diplomacy: the Big Picture” Training Module for IFS Officer Trainees of the 2024 Batch Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service

The DPG Senior Faculty delivered a series of lectures on various aspects of India’s foreign policy and diplomacy to IFS Officer Trainees (OTs) of the 2024 Batch at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS) on December 11, 2024. This was part of the scheduled training module for IFS OTs organised by SSIFS, covering both territorial and thematic dimensions of India’s diplomacy.
Amb. H.K. Singh’s lecture focused on “Global Order and India’s Role”; Amb. Nalin Surie spoke on “Managing Challenges in Eurasia”; and Amb. Biren Nanda spoke on “India’s Act East Policy: Challenges and Opportunities”.
Thirty-five Officer Trainees, including two from Bhutan, attended the lectures, which were followed by Q&A interaction.
