Ambassador Gaddam Dharmendra
Adjunct Senior Fellow for West Asian Affairs
Gaddam Dharmendra joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1990 and has served in various capacities in Indian Missions across the world and at the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.
His overseas assignments have included Indian Missions in Tehran, Dushanbe, Washington D.C., and Dhaka. He has served as India's Consul General in Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR, as High Commissioner to the Republic of Zambia, and as Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He has headed the Disarmament and International Security Affairs Division and the Policy Planning and Research Division in the Ministry of External Affairs, and has served as the Dean of the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service prior to his retirement in 2024.
