Krishna Shriram was schooled at Winchester College, England and at St. Stephen's College, Delhi University. Krishna is an avid reader, reading and absorbing extensively across genres and medias, being curious in mind. He has travelled extensively around the world and in India, always interested to meet and know peoples, cultures and places. He has a keen interest in spirituality and thought and is a deep Indian at heart.
Krishna Shriram is Executive Chairman of Usha International Limited. At Usha he has been instrumental in setting up Usha Silai Schools in conjunction with established local NGOs in all states of India, where thousands of women in remote rural India are trained in sewing to enable them to tailor, teach sewing, and create to earn monies, a sustainable livelihood, which is invested back into their family education, health and wellbeing. Through Usha he also promotes health and fitness, supporting many local traditional and modern youth sports events across rural and urban India. All very much related to community development, and skills development.
